The 2026 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League concluded on 20 September 2026 in Barbados, with the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons crowned champions.

As the curtains came down on another exciting edition of the regional tournament, the St. Kitts Department of Sports paused to recognise the dedicated members of its Grounds and Facilities Team, whose invaluable work contributed to the successful hosting of the St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots’ home matches at Warner Park Cricket Stadium.

From Thursday, 27 August to Thursday, 3 September 2026, Warner Park welcomed teams, officials and thousands of patrons for the Patriots’ home matches. While the players commanded the spotlight on the field, an essential team worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the playing surface and wider facility were properly prepared for each match.

The Grounds and Facilities Team carried out its responsibilities with dedication and professionalism, often working under demanding conditions to ensure that Warner Park was ready to accommodate the tournament.

In a letter of appreciation sent to each staff member, Company Secretary of the St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots, Ms Nicole Bass, acknowledged the significance of the team’s contribution.

“The work you do behind the scenes is an essential part of every match. Your tireless efforts in preparing and maintaining the playing surface, often under demanding conditions, contribute significantly to the successful delivery of each game.”

The St. Kitts Department of Sports extends its sincere appreciation to every member of the Grounds and Facilities Team for their commitment, hard work and invaluable service throughout the tournament.

Although much of their work took place away from the spotlight, their efforts remained essential to the successful delivery of every match hosted at Warner Park.

Special commendation is also extended to Mr Thorne Phillip for his expertise, guidance and invaluable contribution to the preparation and maintenance of the facility.
